Zengezur International Science Conference
Official Overview & Guidelines
The Zengezur International Science Conference is organized under the auspices of the “Center for International Relations and Diplomacy Studies.” Universities in Azerbaijan and Turkey are partners in organizing the symposium. In addition to the main theme of “Zengezur,” the symposium is open to all topics in the social sciences. To participate in the symposium, the full text of the paper must be submitted. The symposium is held annually in Baku (Azerbaijan) and online.
- Research Output: A total of 25 scientific papers were formally presented.
- Demographics: More than half of these papers were prepared and presented by scholars from Azerbaijan.
The Scientific and Review Board of the conference comprised a total of 48 scientists from 7 countries. Participants at the event came from a total of 8 countries: Azerbaijan, Turkey, Algeria, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Jordan, and the United Kingdom.
- Total Presentations: A total of 62 papers were presented at the conference.
- Turkey Cohort: 25 papers (40.32%) were prepared and presented by scientists from Turkey.
- International Cohort: 34 papers (54.88%) were prepared and presented by scientists from outside Turkey.
- Joint Research: A total of 3 papers (4.88%) were presented as joint (multi-country) presentations.
- Academic Accreditation: In terms of the demographic distribution of participants (percentage of participants by country), the conference qualifies as an “international scientific event” under the provisions of Turkey’s “Academic Incentive Regulation.”
- Conference Languages: The conference languages were designated as English, Turkish, and Russian.
The 3rd Zengezur International Science Conference will be held online on Saturday, October 17, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. in Baku, Azerbaijan.
- Core Focus: While the main theme of the symposium is the “Zengezur Corridor,” abstracts on all topics within the social sciences are accepted.
- Submission Mandate: Submission of a full text is mandatory for participation in the symposium. Scientific papers are subject to evaluation by the symposium’s review committee.
- Linguistic Criteria: The official languages of the symposium are “Turkish” and “English.” Only the “Latin alphabet” is accepted for text submissions.
- Certification & Publication: Participants presenting at the symposium will receive “Acceptance” and “Participant” certificates. Additionally, symposium papers are published as e-books by Yönetim Yayınları.
The symposium is organized in accordance with the academic appointment, promotion, associate professorship, and academic incentive regulations in effect in Azerbaijan and Turkey. To maintain international academic standards, the following participant quotas are strictly applied:
